Alexandra Kosteniuk just published on her blog www.chessqueen.com about her new chess video, from her game against Olivier Kurmann played in Leukerbed this past summer.
The position starts just before the very strong 16. c5! and includes beautiful variations with Queen sacrifice such as 20. Nxe6!! you should have a look at it, it's inspiring and shows how cool chess is!
Note the trivia question at the end of Alexandra's post, maybe you can answer it correctly?

ReplyDeleteQuintessential Kosteniuk I would say. Is this some new graphic system? This is the best I have seen anywhere on the Internet or otherwise on DVD. It is just so so so FANTASTIC.
ReplyDeleteKosteniuk specialise in Queen sacrifices and King Marches!
ReplyDeleteThat's the damn secret Sebastian. No wonder I can't make it to the world title like Alexandra. I specialise in King sacrifices.
ReplyDeleteVery impressive game Chess Queen. Thanks for sharing all the explanations.
ReplyDeleteYou need a lot of nerve and concrete calculations to play like that.
ReplyDeleteVery instructive. Thanks Chess Queen. You put a lot of effort in explaining the grandmaster's mind.
