Dubbed the ‘Chess Queen’, Alexandra Kosteniuk is a true ambassador for chess worldwide, who has always worked to ensure that her favourite sport serves peace, human development and social progress. After the project "Ajedrez por la Paz Colombia," the international chess Grandmaster and World Champion from September 2008 to December 2010 is now committed to Peace and Sport and the International Chess Federation (FIDE) as patron of a joint project run by the National Chess Federations in Israel and Palestine, supported by the NGOs "Jerusalem Suburbs Community Center" and "Care Palestine."
