Chess blog for latest chess news and chess trivia (c) Alexandra Kosteniuk, 2011

Hi everyone,

On day 3 of the World Chess Cup finals currently on in Khanty-Mansiysk, we witnessed two draws. That leaves both Peter Svidler and Vassily Ivanchuk in a lead that could help them win by tomorrow. Both Alexander Grischuk and Ruslan Ponomariov have to win on Monday to force the tiebreaks on Tuesday. While Svidler-Grischuk are playing for the first and second place, Ivanchuk and Ponomariov are playing for the third and fourth place.

Here are the games of Round 7.3 via the official website.
