The latest chess news from Mumbai is that top seed Aleksej Aleksandrov of Belarus has won the 4th Mayor's Cup International Chess Tournament. He went into the last round with a full-point lead and a quick draw with India's Deep Sengupta in the 11th and final round on Saturday gave him the top prize.

GM Martyn Kravtsiv of Ukraine, seeded second, also needed just a draw for a clear second and he got that by beating Ziaur Rehman of Bangladesh in just 28 moves.
