Hello everyone,
The Women's Chess Grand Prix - 2011/12 currently on in Rostov had an interesting result during the ninth round. All six games were won by White players. Hou Yifan continues to lead despite a loss to Kateryna Lahno but the result allowed Tatiana Kosintseva to draw up to just one point behind the world champion. Incidentally, the other upset in the ninth round was Ekaterina Kovalevskaya beating Koneru Humpy. All the other games were strong and delightful chess fights too as has been the case in the tournament so far.
