Hello everyone,
We bet you're wondering whether Fide has finally made a statement about the World Chess Championship 2012 or not. Well, yes! they have and www.chessvibes.com has this very nice report with quotes by both Anand and Gelfand. Must read.
Earlier today FIDE confirmed that the 2012 World Championship match will be held in the Skolkovo Technology Centre near Moscow, with a prize fund of $2.55 million. The Russian Chess Federation today clarifies that part of the match will be played in Skolkovo, and part in one of the major Moscow museums (which was the original plan). You can read in detail here.
