The latest chess news from the World Team Chess Championship, after Round 4, in Ningbo, China, is that Armenia leads with six points while there are four teams - Azerbaijan, China, Russia and Hungary - at five points each. Defending champions Russia were leading till they lost their fourth round match to Azerbaijan. There are two teams at four points each - Ukraine and Israel. India, USA are at 3 while Egypt is still to open their account.
Round four saw Grischuk and Svidler losing to Gashimov and Guseinov on the top board for Russia, Ivanchuk losing to Leko, Sutovsky losing to Harikrishna, Onishchuk, Shulman and Seirawan losing to Wang Yue, Li Chao B and Yu Yangyi, Movsesian beating Adly Ahmed, Akopian beating Amin Bassem, Hovhannisyan beating Ezat Mohamed.
