Super chess videos with kids - real fun and learning
Chess blog for latest chess news and chess trivia (c) Alexandra Kosteniuk, 2011
Hi everyone,
Who says video games and hand-held electronics are what kids want? THEY WANT CHESS. YAYA. Watch this lovely video and you can find two more in the series at the same link. For long, educationists and child psychologists have spoken about the positives of playing chess. It's heartening and such fun to watch kids play chess. And, as they learn chess, one thing you know for sure - whether they eventually play professionally or not - they're on track for life. Enjoy.

It's so fantastic to teach chess to kids. I agree that chess is an educational tool - whether the kids take it up professionally or not. We have done a special programme in our juniors' class. We will email you Alexandra about it. We always like your particular focus on kids' chess. Your cartoon strip is posted in poster-size in our class. Thanks.
