Indian GM Arun Prasad wins 86th Paris Chess Championship

Hello everyone,

Here is the latest chess news from Paris. Indian Grandmaster Arun Prasad has won the 86th edition of the Paris Open Chess Championship. The tournament was held from July 2-10 and included more than 600 players competing in four different groups. In fact, Prasad's last round victim was another Indian GM SP Sethuraman giving the eventual champion a total of 7.0 points out of 9 rounds.




The A Open was won by Belgian Albin Dal Borgo (8.0 points, full point ahead of the rest of the field). The trophy in the B Group went to French Thaymour Bonneville and
C Open was won by the young Daniel Pietras from Poland. You can access the official website at this link.
