The Heart of Finland Chess Tournament has been won by Finnish veteran Yrjo Rantanen. The event was organised by Jyvas-Shakki organised the event in Finland from July 11-17 and it is the biggest annual chess event in Finland. A total of 128 players from eight countries took participation including six grandmasters and six international masters attended the event.
GM Rantanen actually started with a loss in the event in the first round against Teemu Pudas but then went on to win all the remaining eight rounds leaving the field a full point behind. He took home a Euros 1000 prize for his efforts. You can find a nice detailed report in English at www.chessdom.com.
