It is a nine-round open tournament taking place from July 7-17 with top Grandmasters including Predrag Nikolic (2629), David Howell (2625) and Sergey Tiviakov (2623). The tournament began with a rapid chess match between the current Dutch National Chess Champion Anish Giri and legendary Dutch Grandmaster Jan Timman. After Howell, there are six players at the second spot with 3.5 points each.

Anish had a great performance at the national dutch championships recently and this game just shows how he is evolving.
