The 13th Obert Internacional Sant Marti 2011 chess tournament will take place from July 13-21 at the Centre Civic Sant Marti c.Selva de Mar 213 in Barcelona. The 9-round Swiss tournament is part of the 8th Catalan International Circuit.
The organiser of the tournament is Eduardo Arilla Santos and Director of the Tournament is Joan Fontanillas Sanchez. The prize fund totals 5,200€ and the Champion will receive 1200€ and a trophy.

The tournament starts shortly after the Torredembarra Open and a number of players, including the top seed Viktor Moskalenko, will continue the Circuit at the Centre Civic Sant Marti. In addition, GM Manuel Leon Hoyos of Mexico and a strong Cuban delegation are also participating. Nice tournament. I played there once. But check out the weather in Barcelona before you go. have fun. The Spanish are the truly joyous people.
