Hi everyone,

The 19th Sigeman Chess Tournament for 2011 - being organised in the city of Malmo in Sweden - saw a three-way tie after the last round with Wesley So, Anish Giri and Hans Tikkanen (in order of tiebreaks) all scoring 3/5. Alexei Shirov scored 2.5, Nils Grandelius 2/5 and Jonny Hector 1.5/5.

The tournament ran from June 9-13 in the City (‘Hipp’) Theater of Malmö and was organised by the Limhamn Chess Club. There were six players with Giri being the defending champion. You can find a nice fun report at www.chessvibes.com. You can also access the official website here.

For now, here are some nice games from the event.

I would like to see a world championship between Carlsen and Giri. :)
