The 4th New York International Chess Tournament has concluded with IM Robert Hungaski not only winning the tournament convincingly but also gaining his GM norm. Hungaski finished with 8 points from nine games which was a full 1.5 points ahead of second placed GM Jaan Ehlvest. Ehlvest was clear second while 10 players tied for the third spot including GM Timur Gareev. FIDE Masters Kassa Korely and Aleksandr Ostrovskiy both earned IM norms. The Fourth New York International Chess Tournament was organised by the historic Marshall Chess Club, was played from June 17 to 21, 2011, at the Manhattan Campus of St. John's University in downtown Manhattan. We couldn't locate any official website for the event.

Nice tournament but I couldnt do well. I hope they continue holding it. Congratulations eveyone.
