GM Darwin Laylo wins Pichay Chess Cup

Hi everyone,

An update for the latest tournament chess news: Grandmasters Darwin Laylo of Philippines, Wen Yang and Li Shilong (both China) got the shared first place with 7.5 points each with Laylo winning on superior tiebreak.

The 2nd Chairman Prospero Pichay Jr. Cup International Chess Championship was held from June 2-8 in Subic Freeport, Philippines. Eighty six from seven countries - including 13 Grandmasters - took part in the tournament playing 10 rounds with a total cash prize of $30,000.
