Anyone heading for Canada this July can check out the Quebec Open Chess Championship to be organised from July 23 to July 30 in Montreal. There will be five sections plus a closed tournament and a total prize money of $18,000.

Anyone heading for Canada this July can check out the Quebec Open Chess Championship to be organised from July 23 to July 30 in Montreal. There will be five sections plus a closed tournament and a total prize money of $18,000.
Eight Grandmasters have already confirmed participation - GM Kovalyov (ARG), GM Rozentalis (LIT), GM Sambuev (CAN), GM Bojkov (BUL), GM Cornette (FRA), GM Leroux (FRA), GM Roussel-Roozmon (CAN) , and GM Arencibia (CUB).
