My chess friend Vicky Guadagno teaches 4th grade in Queens (New York City), and does a fantastic job sharing her love for chess with her students. Vicky earned a certificate in Chess Education with Dr. Alexey Root, who has the title of WIM (Woman International Master). Vicky is also a personal coach ("life coach"), focused on the community of chess and the gifted.
Vicky uses chess to enrich the whole curriculum, and this year made a video about it for her school, which I'd love to share with you. I really liked the video, it shows how much of a difference passion in teaching can make, and transfer the love of a subject to students.
Vicky's students are lucky to have her as a teacher, I am sure they will keep their love for chess forever and will succeed in whatever they do in life thanks to the good knowledge and skills that chess and Vicky have given them.
Vicky Guadagno's company (Move Order) web site is www.moveorder.com. She says "I help the professional chess & gifted community balance and enrich their busy lives by planning the right move order."
Good luck to you, Vicky, and continue doing all the wonderful things you do!
