Movie Chess Talk: Have you seen Chess Fever? Enjoy video clips
Chess blog for latest chess news and chess trivia (c) Alexandra Kosteniuk, 2011
Hello everybody,
Time to check out a chess video. We continue our series with clips from the movie Chess Fever. The movie was a comedy - a chess comedy really. It features footage from the Moscow 1925 Tournament, including great chess stars like Capablanca and Marshall. With an international chess tournament in progress, a young man becomes completely obsessed with the game. His fiance has no interest in it, and becomes frustrated and depressed by his neglect of her, but wherever she goes she finds that she cannot escape chess. On the brink of giving up, she meets the world champion, Capablanca himself, with interesting results.
