Rare chess videos on YouTube channel

Chess blog for latest chess news and chess trivia (c) Alexandra Kosteniuk, 2011

Hello everyone,

We received this nice email from sirbob1 about his YouTube channel on chess videos. You are going to love the videos.

Sirbob1 - as he would like to be mentioned in the YouTube channel - says you must check out the Master Game Chess Channel which features not one, not two but dozens of BBC TV chess matches that were played way back in the 1980s!

These videos are extremely rare and hard to get hold of. Sirbob1 managed to find someone who had them and made a donation to a Chess Congress to obtain these copies.

You can watch 15-year-old Nigel Short playing along with Tony Miles, Bent Larsen, Victor Korchnoi, and many other famour stars. Sirbob1 intends to upload the 1982 series soon, along with the remaining World Cup matches from Hamburg 1982, featuring Karpov, Spassky, Lobron, Seriwan, Torre, Nunn, Bouaziz, and Timman.

He has sent them as a special gift to Chessqueen Alexandra Kosteniuk and wishes to share them with the chess world. Enjoy.

Here is one of the videos.

Meanwhile, don't forget to send us your own chess videos too.
