Organised or not, exploring places where one plays chess tournaments is the done thing for most chess players. So, if a complimentary lake cruise alongside a chess tournament excites you then fix July 11-17 for the 21st Heart of Finland Chess Tournament in Jyväskylä, Finland.
At Finland's biggest chess event in 2010
Chessclub Jyväs-Shakki is organising this event - the biggest annual chess event for Finland. The tournament will be played over 9 rounds according to Swiss system. Time rate is 90 min + 30 s/move, add 30 min after 40th move. Tournament is ELO rated and there are possibilities to win FIDE title norms. The first prize will be 1000 EUR. Supplementary program includes the evening cruise on the lake Päijänne and famous Summerfestival "Jyväskylä Summer".
