Hello everyone,
The national Indian champion, Grandmaster Parimarjan Negi is in good form and back in sole lead after beating Grandmaster Jon Ludvig Hammer in the eighth round. Both had gone into the eight round as joint leaders. Following the duo were seven grandmasters.
After five rounds we have Negi with 7 points and another Indian Grandmaster, Abhijeet Gupta following him at 6.5 points. There are 11 other grandmasters, including top seed Krishnan Sasikiran, with 6 points each!
