Hi everyone,

This is great news. We have the very talented Chess Queen Alexandra Kosteniuk leading her team SHSM-RSCU (Moscow) to the first place in the Russian Team Chess Championships. Also, another great part, she has won the top award for the best performance of 2746 ELO with a fantastic score of 6.0 in seven rounds playing Board 1. She also has the best performance overall in the women's section too.

The winning teams. (We await more photos.)

It wasn't easy as going into the last round, the SHSM-RSCU was in a must-win situation and also Board 1 Chess Queen Alexandra Kosteniuk had to take on former Women's World Chess Champion Antoaneta Stefanova. Needless to add, coming up with a scintillating performance, Chess Queen Alexandra Kosteniuk won the game and so did the rest of her team beating team ABC by 3-1 in the last round.

This gives us the final standings in the women's team section as follows:

Actually it would have been 7/7 but for that Bishop thing in the penultimate round. So for me you've got a 100 per cent score. Even better than 2746. Wow. Amazing. Good luck for the European Individual. Don't forget to share photos of the prize giving ceremony. Still looking forward to those. Love and Luck, Your fan, Alan J., New Jersey
