London Chess Classic 2011 from Dec 3-12
Chess blog for latest chess news and chess trivia (c) Alexandra Kosteniuk, 2011
Hello everyone,
We're still remembering the exciting London Chess Classic 2010 which was won by Grandmaster Magnus Carlsen in December. It is great that the London Chess Classic 2011 has now been announced to take place from December 3-12 this year.
Tournament director IM Malcolm Pein said here that the participants for the third edition of this fantastic chess event are still to be confirmed. The event will be held, as always, at the nice Olympia Conference Centre. This time there will be an additional player making it a 9 round 9 player event. 1 player per round will have a day off and help the commentary team. In the tradition of promoting chess in the UK there will be junior training, lectures, GM and amateur opens. There is an increased prize-fund too.

Cant wait for it. It's surely now the best event what with the types of Amber events over.
