On Thursday, April 21, the 1972 World Chess Championship Chess Set used by Bobby Fischer & Boris Spassky (signed by both) will go up for auction.
This chess set was used in the legendary 3rd game of the Championship held in Reykjavik, Iceland and was given to the President of the Icelandic Chess Federation in October 1972. It comes with a Letter of Authenticity.
Philip Weiss Auctions offers Absentee bidding through their website. Bidding through the website ends 15 minutes before the actual auction begins.
