Go play chess charity event to help rebuild orphanage!
Chess blog for latest chess news and chess trivia (c) Alexandra Kosteniuk, 2011
Hi everyone,
These nice photos and news from Grigor Arapetjan are heart warming. The Tallinn Chess Akadeemia Shah ja Garde is organising regular daily tournaments from February 21 to the end of the month to raise funds for an orphanage. Dedicated to Tigran Petrosian, these charity chess tournaments will help support an orphanage in Haapsalu. The idea of raising funds for rebuilding the orphanage with the help of chess tournaments came from senior citizens who are regulars a the chess club. How sweet a project. If you're there don't forget to play.

Very noble effort. Chess is such a beautiful thing. I would have surely played if I were there.
