Hi Everybody,
This is a quick update from the eighth round of the Tata Steel Chess Tournament 2011 in Wijk aan Zee. In a crucial match today World No. 1 Magnus Carlsen played a scintillating game to beat Grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura to narrow the lead to half a point behind Group A leaders Viswanathan Anand and Nakamura at 5.5 points each.

ReplyDeletePeople who were jeering at Carlsen now will have to eat their words. If he didn't make that blunder with Anish Giri, he could have even be the leader now.
