Harvey chess dog! Real cool video

Chess news and chess trivia blog (c) Alexandra Kosteniuk, 2010

Hello Everyone,

This is a real funny and creative Thinkbox advertisement. It features a real 'special' dog called Harvey. Harvey can do a lot of things like drive the kids to school, check the washing in the machine, iron clothes and more...

The ad features a couple visiting a dogs' home to choose a pooch to adopt. They see two conventionally lovable dogs using all their considerable charms to sell themselves before they encounter a less obviously cute dog called Harvey, who has a different, smarter approach: He's made a TV ad!

The soundtrack to the ad is Bachman-Turner Overdrive's 1974 classic 'You ain't seen nothing yet'.

We'd pick Harvey for just one thing... you know what?

Too bad the chess scene is just so fleeting. But then we love to feature all adverts with even a little bit of chess you know.

I'd beat you Alexandra and Anand if I had Harvey to practice. Damn. That was neat. Wish you were in London for the Chess Classic but all the same do well in Turkey and win back your title. All the best.
