Wow Chess Queen. You're one supergirl. I bet you would figure on the top-10 world list and not just the Russian one. Keep rocking. Won't repeat my greetings cause I already wished you. But looking forward to you in 2011.

I would rate you No. 1 because the other sportswomen are there for sports that are more about physical abilities. Chess is the only sport that tests a person's mental and physical prowess both. Chess is the ultimate sport. I am proud of you Chess Queen. You are a real trailblazer. You have to have a beautiful mind too and it's not just about a beautiful look.

  5. You bet! AK would make that list any day even if it was a list of the world. Agreed with @Amrit.

You have huge following all over the world. I wonder what the result would have been if the poll was held here in London. I think you would score well. Congrats. At least I am one great fan of yours. I love following your tweets and even the ones in Russian from your @kosteniuk account apart from @chessqueen. I hope you have a great time in the year to come. Merry Xmas and super 2011 to Chessqueen and her family. Recently saw a photo of yours on twitter with your baby. That was very nice. Good to know that you live up to the responsibilities of your family along with being so committed to chess. That is nice thing what with so many women becoming more focused on their career and status and not giving attention to their husband and child. In fact, not many celebs do that. It is nice to know that you are a level-headed young woman. I wish you great success in chess.

Have you considered starring in a film Chess Queen? But please make it a chess movie ok. You can wear pink. It suits you. But of course you otherwise also dress very elegant. I like that. Merry Xmas. Happy New Year.

  29. none of these games require you to use your brains. only chess does. so needless to say you are the winner. so what if you stand at number six on the list.

Hi Alexandra Kosteniuk, I am your fan from the city of Kathmandu in Nepal. Have you been to this beautiful country of the mightiest mountains the Himalayas. Please I would like to invite you to my home. You have made chess very famous as a kind of sport. It is not so popular in this region as it is more about cricket or football or some other sport. I like your site and all the photos. Your blog is good as it opens in our slow Internet connections also and would like to know if you play online and if there is a way to contact you. Like I want to send fan mail letters to you because I like you and I want to know more about you and I want to know if you are married or not and I want to know what are your future plans in chess and I want to know what are your views on women and who have marriage but have to do some work and career is it good or is it bad and if you will always play chess or as you write on your website that you have photo passion also of using camera and writing poetry. Ok I end my letter now as I don't want to disturb you in your Christmas fun festivities with your family I suppose. So I will write to you again sometime soon maybe when you have more time to read so don't forget me. I give you a hug and wish you good chess success. Please read my letter. I suppose the letter will be shown to you. All your fans' letter. I am writing long so that my letter gets noticed. All the best.
