Hello Everyone,
The Chigorin Memorial is being held in the beautiful Russian city of St. Petersburg. The 17th International Chess Festival 'M. Chigorin Memorial' runs from October 26 to November 5 and includes a Rapid section and a classical section.
The Rapid section included 68 grandmasters among 274 players who played nine round rounds of 15 minutes per game + 5 seconds increment for each move.
In the end, six players finished on a tie of 7/9 but the first prize went to Sergei Yudin (2521). Defending champion Zaven Andriassian was second while Pablo Lafuente was third. The main standard section is still on.
