Hello Everyone,

For all those hooked to the fantastic live streaming at www.russiachess.org the World Blitz Chess Championship has been a real treat. After three days of chess at super speed, Levon Aronian has virtually run away with the crown amassing a total of 24.5 points.

Magnus Carlsen - defending champion - did his best to catch up but finished third with the second place going to Teimour Radjabov. The end was truly photo finish. Here are the final standings. You can also find great photos of the Championship at www.chess-news.ru.
