Moscow beckons
Hello Everyone,
Are you following the action in Bilbao Final Masters Chess? Any clue where GM Magnus Carlsen is headed after these hectic six rounds in Spain?
Well! he's (Carlsen - 2826) off to the World Blitz Chess 2010 to be held in Moscow from November 16th - 18th November, 2010.
There will be eight other top players coming in from Tal Memorial 2010 - GM Levon Aronian (ARM) 2783, GM Vladimir Kramnik (RUS) 2780, GM Pavel Eljanov (URK) 2761, GM Alexander Grischuk (RUS) 2760, GM Shakhriyar Mamedyarov (AZE) 2756, Boris Gelfand (ISR) 2751, GM Sergey Karjakin (RUS) 2747, and GM Hikaru Nakamura (USA) 2733.
Two other players who have been invited include GM Ruslan Ponomariov (UKR) 2749 and GM Peter Svidler (RUS) 2731 apart from six section winners GM Maxime Vachier Lagrave (FRA) 2721, GM Ian Nepomniachtchi (RUS) 2706, GM Bu Xiangzhi (CNH) 2695, GM Boris Grachev (RUS) 2668, GM Rauf Mamedov (AZE) 2660 and GM Boris Savchenko (RUS) 2627.
Three more top players to complete the field in Moscow will be announced soon. You can follow the updates at the Russian website.
And, if we may ask, where is Vladimir Kramnik headed after Bilbao? Well! To Moscow too! Shirov will be there too.
He will be playing in the Tal Memorial 2010 in Moscow. The Memorial will take place from November 5-18, 2010.
