Tigran Kotanjyan wins Karen Asryan Memorial Chess Tournament in Jermuk

Hi Everybody,
Armenian grandmaster Tigran Kotanjyan has won the Karen Asryan Memorial Tournament held in Jermuk, Armenia. He top scored with 7 out of 9 points.
GM Konstantine Shanava (Georgia), GM Sergey Volkov (Russia), IM Davit Magalashvili (Georgia) and GM Yevgeniy Vorobyov (Russia) scored half a point less and earned the second, third, fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
A total of 64 players representing Armenia, Georgia and Russia took part in the Karen Asryan Memorial.
The tournament is held annually to commemorate Armenian grandmaster and Olympiad medal winner Karen Asryan who died suddenly at age 28 in 2008. You can find more Armenian chess news at the official website.
