Hi Everyone,
A much looked-forward to chess event in Europe - the European Chess Club Cup has started in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
The European Club Cup for Men and Women is taking place from October 17 to 24th October 2010. Forty-nine teams the Open section and 14 in the Women's section are competing. Levon Aronian (2783, Mika Yerevan) and Humpy Koneru (2593, Cercle d'Echecs de Monte Carlo) are the top rated players.

Plovdiv is the second largest city in Bulgaria and its history spans some 6,000 years, with traces of a Neolithic settlement dating to roughly 4000 BC.
