Hello Everyone,
Here is a nice video from the European Chess Club Cup official website. It also includes a nice interview with GM Hou Yifan.
The defending champion Economist-SGSEU-1 secured a nice victory over Mika Yerevan in round six getting closer to the crown.
The reigning World Junior Champion Dmitry Andreikin won a key point, and as other five games were drawn, the final score is 3.5-2.5 for Saratov team. They are now full two points ahead of the nearest followers and need only a draw in the final round to retain the trophy.
In the women's section, St. Petersburg Chess Club outplayed AVS. The defending champion Cercle d’Echecs de Monte Carlo signed identical 3-1 victory over Mika Yerevan and is now in joint lead with the St.Petersburg team. Three teams are still tied for the top slot.
