Chess Love: Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev
Hello Everyone,
It's great joy to know whenever a chess school opens somewhere in the world. It speaks volumes of a country's chess love when you find that the head of state has inaugurated a chess school! We just did. Here is the full news.
President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, attended the inauguration ceremony of the Chess School in Mingachevir city of Azerbaijan!
President Aliyev was informed the classrooms with a total capacity of 32 pupiles were equipped with chess-boards, clocks and computers. The video cameras were installed to monitor education process.
Wow!
The photo exhibition of the school displays achievements of the local chess players in international and republican competitions. The Head of state and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva posed for photographs together with the children.
Now, that's really taking out time specially for chess. How cool!
