Alexandra Kosteniuk's Chess News & Trivia (c) 2010

WFM Danitza Vazquez-Macarini

Hello Everyone,

The Chess Olympiad brings together some of the best chess players in the world and some of the youngest! So, here's something about a nine-year-old girl who's come to Khanty-Mansiysk all the way from Caguas, Puerto Rico in the Caribbean.

She's certainly not on a holiday. She's here to play some strong chess! One of the youngest participants at the 39th Chess Olympiad, from San Juan, WFM Danitza Vazquez-Macarini (1818), showed she means business by defeating WIM Olga Gerasimova (2218) in Round 3.

Here is the nice game. Way to go kid, keep it up! You can run the moves in our pgnplayer or watch in flash below.
