Why isn't chess on school curriculum?

Hello Everyone,

Chess teaches kids success in all walks of life. Here is a nice video on chess in education.

We must supplement this video by the nice link sent to us by one of our chess-loving readers - Graham Wadden. It is such a valid question today: Why isn't chess on school curriculum?

The nice article states:

"Think about why parents send kids to school ... to develop reasoning; analytical thinking; resilience; problem solving; perseverence ...

All schools should be efficiently serving child development, equally, in two areas:

• Developing the physical body through exercise and sport;
• Developing the mind through subjects like maths, language/communication and the sciences.

Both areas mentioned require some form of thinking that Chess helps to nurture."
