Boris Khropov
Hello Everyone,
This is sad news about the passing away of Boris Khropov recently. He was 75 years old and had been ill for some time. FIDE Master Boris Khropov was the President (1993-1998) and Vice-President (1998-2004) of the St. Petersburg Chess Federation. He was also the Vice-President of the Russian Chess Federation.
Boris Khropov made significant contributions to chess development. Despite being ill he had organized two major chess events in Elista (Spassky-Korchnoi match) and Veterans' tournament dedicated to the Victory Day. He was among the winners of Veterans' tournament.
