Kamsky wins Grenke Rapid Chess Open, Zatonskih best among women

GM Gata Kamsky has won the Grenke Open Rapid Tournament in Mainz, Germany. The reigning US Champion finished with a great 10/11. He won his nine straight games and then drew with Gashimov and Grishchuk.
Kamsky - on the way to his title - also beat Rustam Kasimdzhanov after nearly losing in the ninth round.
Meanwhile, Anna Zatonskih scored the best among women at the Rapid Open. IM Zatonskih finished with a score of 8.5.

Nice performance here, after winning the U. S. Championship. This was a tough field of chess opponents.
