GM Krishnan Sasikiran
Hello Everyone,
Grandmaster Krishnan Sasikiran recently won the Hogeschool Zeeland Chess Tournament located on the Dutch seaside in Vlissingen - historically known as Flushing. This is from where the Dutch Empire was built in the 17th century.
Two players of a total of 250 scored 7.5/9, with top seed GM Krishnan Sasikiran of India beating German IM Thomas Henrichs on tie-break points. Five players followed half a point behind. Here is the official website.
And, we wanted to share one of Sasikiran's nice games from the tournament. This is taken from the penultimate round at the tournament. It is a typical example of patience till the opponent runs out of time and ideas. And, of course, don't miss all the hard work done by the White King.
