A 'life-size' chess game
Hi Everyone,
Playing chess is a lot of fun. Playing chess with people dressed up as pieces is another kind of fun! We found this nice news article of a cool chess event.
It was a special 'life-size' chess event held as part of the graduation ceremonies for Brooklyn's The School of the Future - a free intergenerational month-long summer camp that teaches a myriad of artistic classes from guerilla gardening techniques to astrology lessons.
Two local artists/chess lovers, Douglas Paulson and Santo Tolone, took their 32 fully-costumed human chess pieces across a makeshift board for a nice game of chess.
The game was long and intense, yet periodically interrupted by short bursts of dancing, trash talking and costume malfunctions.
Do let us know your experiences when you take part in a life-size chess tournament.
