Next women's Chess Grand Prix in Mongolia

Ulan Bator - Capital of Mongolia

Hi Everybody,

Mongolia is all set to host the next Women's Grand Prix from July 29 to August 12 in it's capital city of Ulan Bator, according to the FIDE calendar.

Ulan Bator was founded in 1639 and used to be a nomadic Buddhist monastic centre. Today, Ulan Bator has grown into a major major manufacturing centre.

Twelve of the top women players have confirmed their participation and these include former world champion Grandmaster Xu Yuhua of China and Maia Chiburdanidze of Georgia, Koneru Humpy of India, Zhu Chen of Qatar, Tatiana Kosintseva of Russia, Hou Yifan, Zhao Xue and Shen Yang of China, Sebag Marie of France, Yildiz Betul of Turkey, Fierro Baquero, Martha of Equador and Batkhuyag Munguntuul of Mongolia. Nana Dzagnidze - who was a runaway winner at the last Women's Chess Grand Prix - is unlikely to be there.

So, mark your calendars for this exciting event.
