The July 1, 2010 FIDE rating list has been released. And, as expected, Grandmaster Magnus Carlsen and Grandmaster Judith Polgar top the men's and women's lists respectively.
But a one in a million coincidence: Their rating is 'similar' (because only the digits are shuffled)!!!
Carlsen has notched up the second highest FIDE rating in history at 2826. Just re-arrange those digits and you get Polgar's highest rating of 2682! Thirteenth World Champion Gary Champion has held the highest rating in chess history of 2851 eleven years ago.
