World No. 4 GM Vladimir Kramnik
set to defend his title in Dortmund

Hello Everyone,

Grandmaster Vladimir Kramnik will be defending his title at the Dortmund Sparkassen Chess Meeting to be held from July 15-25. Kramnik is the current World No. 4 after Magnus Carlsen, Veselin Topalov and Viswanathan Anand.

Six players will be competing in Dortmund at one of the strongest chess tournaments of the world. Also, the no-draw offer rule at the tournament makes it one of the most exciting and hard-fought tournaments.

Apart from Kramnik there will be Mamedyarov Shakhriyar of Azerbaijan, Ruslan Ponomariov of Ukraine, Peter Leko of Hungary, Arkadij Naiditsch of Germany, and Le Quang Liem from Vietnam.

You can check the official website for more details. There will also be some side tournaments at the chess festival.
