Hello Everyone,
It is hard work to play chess. Imagine playing it without sight of the board. And, we are not talking just about blindfold chess.
World Champion Viswanathan Anand recently met the youngest Indian to win the Indian National Blind Chess Championship - Darpan Inani. Darpan is 16 years old. Anand became the youngest player to win the Indian National Chess Championship at the age of 16. Anand also said he would stay in touch with Inani and help him prepare for the World Chess Championship for the blind. Inani wants to become a Grandmaster and this is his story of courage and hard work.
Inani was delighted to meet his hero and Anand also praised the talented kid. You can read the full touching story at page number 30 of this Indian e-paper.
