Jermuk Women's Chess Grand Prix off to an exciting start

Jermuk, Armenia is hosting the Women's Grand Prix this year from June 24-July 6. The first round was held on June 25. There was only one draw on the first day! And, Black victories outnumbered those with White.

The first round results were as follows:

• Xu Yuhua - Mkrtchian Lilit 0-1
• Hou Yifan - Shen Yang 0-1
• Stefanova Antoaneta - Dzagnidze Nana 0-1
• Danielian Elina - Chiburdanidze Maia 1-0
• Cramling Pia - Kosintseva Tatiana 1/2-1/2
• Kovanova Baira - Fierro Baquero Martha 1-0
