Kosteniuk - Lahno Preview


Dear friends,

I would just like to show you the game I played today in the European Team Championship. I beat Ekateryna Lahno from the Ukraine in a Ruy Lopez Opening. I will comment this game fully after the tournament is over, as there are three very important rounds left.

    Hi Alexandra, it was a nice win! I like the style and as a play Ruy Lopez from time to time, your game was very instructive for me. Good luck at the remaining three rounds!

    Your opponent leaves her dark bishop free on c7 and your rook placed on c7 check. After Kd6, even your opponent plans to exchange her rook for bc3, her King has no way out when your Knight placed on Ne4 checkmate...Kateryna forgot to looked back on your Knight, she noticed at the end that her position was extremely in danger.... Thank you & congratulation Alexandra... More power....
