View from my room in Ohrid
Now I'm writing to you from the lobby of this hotel where the chess players live and where the women's Eurocup is taking place. There are 11 women's teams playing and the first round is already under way. All the teams are strong and there will be no easy rounds.
My team is the Cercle d'Echecs Monte Carlo is playing in the first round against the team of Politehnica.
I'm not playing today, resting and preparing for the next rounds. So today Humpy Koneru is playing against Ketevan Arakhamia-Grant; Pia Cramling is playing against Yelena Dembo; Monica Socko is playing against Corina Peptan and Almira Skripchenko is playing against Alina Motoc.
You can watch the games LIVE on the following web-site - http://www.ecc2009.com/www/live/01/w/index.htm
I will keep you posted about how the tournament goes.
