You will remember that Natalia played with me the 2008 Beijing Mind Sports Games on the second board of the Russian team and did a superb performance. Natalia is now definitely one of the top stars of Russian women's chess.

ReplyDeleteYes she won this year the Moscow Open women's tournament with 8 points out of 9 that's awesome!
ReplyDeleteShe finished ahead of Bat Mongontuul (Mongolia), Syaobin Gu (China), Svetlana Matveeva, Tatiana Molchanova and Valentina Gunina. Pogonina’s prize was 150,000 rubles which is about $5,000.
Any big tournament in Moscow is very tough, so congratulations to Natalia for that result.
im also a chess enthusiast for almost 21 years....and i was stunned to realized that theres a great number of pretty chess players like Alexandra and Natalia...
