Natalia Pogonina's New Web Site
Peter Zhdanov wrote to me to let me know that the redesign of Natalia Pogonina's web site has been completed, and that you can see it at www.pogonina.com.
Congratulations to Peter and Natalia for a very nicely designed site!
You will remember that Natalia played with me the 2008 Beijing Mind Sports Games on the second board of the Russian team and did a superb performance. Natalia is now definitely one of the top stars of Russian women's chess.
Here's a photo of her below, courtesy www.chesspics.com.

Yes she won this year the Moscow Open women's tournament with 8 points out of 9 that's awesome!
She finished ahead of Bat Mongontuul (Mongolia), Syaobin Gu (China), Svetlana Matveeva, Tatiana Molchanova and Valentina Gunina. Pogonina’s prize was 150,000 rubles which is about $5,000.
Any big tournament in Moscow is very tough, so congratulations to Natalia for that result.
